THE STORY OF Harry Cook Free House

Harry Cook Free House is integral to the history of Montpellier Walk, constructed in the 1830s when Cheltenham was a booming spa town and still a beautifully unspoilt parade of exquisite Georgian buildings and boutique shops.

The pub’s location offers an ideal spot to kick back and relax after a day’s shopping or trip to the Cotswolds, not to mention a great place to spend your winnings (or drown your sorrows!) after visiting the prestigious Cheltenham Races.

At Harry Cook we like to mark this huge event on the horse racing calendar and host a variety of special events during race meeting season, particularly during Cheltenham Festival when we open early, showing all the race action via BT Sport / Sky Sports / Racing UK whilst you tuck into a tasty breakfast or brunch.
